But, it inspired me to get out the redwork project I do have, Sweet Hearts. Two more blocks are now finished:
That makes three of the nine done. As a tv-watching project, redwork makes a nice change from Texas Star, so maybe there will be one or two more soon. We'll see!
love your little girls, full of character and would not be surprised if they were up to some mischief
ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret, I think you are right!
DeleteThose are such cute red work patterns!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rachael. Sometimes I think they are too kitschy for words, but somehow I always end up liking them anyway. :D
Deletemonica sometimes a change is as good as a rest and in the summer it is great to have something portable so that you are able to view your garden while you stitch...they do look amazing glad you were able to pull it out again.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debra. I totally agree, it's invigorating to change things up. Plus, I find that a project that has been "fallow" for a while feels fresh and easy when I pick it up again. Let's hope I get some mileage out of that!
DeleteThey are gorgeous aren't they.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Katherine!
DeleteLovely little girls! I've only done one redwork project, but will have to do more.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cynthia! I remember you made that beautiful Anna Scott redwork bag. That one's still on my someday list too!
DeleteI love redwork as well; it's very striking and effective and fun to work on. Looking forward to seeing where those cute little girls will live.
ReplyDeleteThanks you! I've drafted 3 or 4 different quilt layouts for them now, but the final decision is still quite a ways off!
DeleteI really enjoy redwork too - and it IS great for TV watching!
ReplyDeleteI give my full attention to the face, but after that it's pretty forgiving, I find. I'm hoping to make some progress now!
DeleteHow adorable are these!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lorraine!
