Two...

I'm still plugging away at Allietare. One...

I love how that taupe Star Flowers fabric in the middle almost disappears.

I do try to enjoy the details. There's no question that all the attention to detail I gave this quilt slowed down the process. But, it doesn't hurt to remind myself that this is a hobby for fun, not a job.

Even if I do have to put myself on a schedule once in a while!

Two...

Four left.

I must finish this flimsy! So, I'm going to count down the remaining blocks.

I'm really getting keen to see it together! There have been so many great Allietare finishes around the blogosphere this week. It's time to get mine done too!

  2. I like the word fabrics you've used for the backgrounds. We do need to remind ourselves occasionally that it all about having fun so have fun this week.

  3. I had forgotten about the word fabrics you used for your background on some of this project. Only four blocks to go. . .you are on the home stretch! That must feel wonderful to you! Looking forward to seeing it as a flimsy!--Terry

    1. Thanks Terry! Yes, it will be a big milestone to finish the blocks. Joining the rows, with all those seams to match, is still another big hurdle. But hopefully I've got the bit in my teeth now!

  5. The combinations are wonderful. I love the dark star points - they seem to create shadows on the underlying pieces. The words work so well and you're right about the disappearing centre. I can see the fun!
