When I paired them with white, it made them seem darker, so I started pairing the other darker fabrics with light yellow rather than white. So the average shifted darker than the original plan. But, I think the challenge is to make it work with what you have, AND it was meant to be an experimental learning process, so that will just be something to remember in future.

If I knew exactly how it would turn out beforehand, it would be boring! The funnest thing about working with prints is that you never exactly know what will happen. It's endlessly interesting, I think!

I know you're not being critical, and I'm not being critical either. I'm just, you know, observing and hopefully learning something!Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01596185668087389269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777082361967445123.post-15993832581127010942016-09-11T00:34:49.426-04:002016-09-11T00:34:49.426-04:00Lovely, Monica. So the darker blocks are two yellow prints, none have two white chocolate rings. I wouldn't have noticed until you wrote about it. Something to consider.
Love your writing. It's adds to the cheerfulness. I completely sympathize with your block matching problem, as I've run into it myself many, many times.
