But, the best book by far was the one by Marti Mitchell.Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12224346283881001640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777082361967445123.post-23468965638443123342015-02-17T14:50:11.075-05:002015-02-17T14:50:11.075-05:00I loved these blocks the first time I seen them an...I loved these blocks the first time I seen them and they look fantastic all sewn together. The fabric in the border is perfect and I can see it with the red binding too. I have seen quite a few QAYG projects but just haven't done one to try and get my head around some of the joining techniques.Katherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18203034266623357526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777082361967445123.post-28007064406553827852015-02-17T10:21:43.904-05:002015-02-17T10:21:43.904-05:00Thank you very much! They say another cold snap is coming, but it does feel a lot milder today, even at -10!Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12224346283881001640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777082361967445123.post-15685069266660004122015-02-16T20:54:49.088-05:002015-02-16T20:54:49.088-05:00I love the colour combinations you use. You manage to maintain a fresh lightness even with the addition of the red triangles, which by the way, are perfect!

Good luck with finishing the quilt, (sans allergies), and I hope your weather turns more seasonable and reasonable soon. In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine.Seams Frenchhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07783229116723144338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777082361967445123.post-79633559346249514922015-02-16T14:50:53.123-05:002015-02-16T14:50:53.123-05:00I love the border and don't think it's a b...I love the border and don't think it's a bit too busy. Snowmen in snow globes. Love! It has snowed here and while 10" was predicted, we got less than that. Way less. Around 3" I would guess. Very cold, too, But not nearly as cold as you have it up there in Canada. So, I am not going to complain. It's February already. Spring is just around the corner.Mary Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04066177625064170284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777082361967445123.post-59680457628063055372015-02-15T19:16:46.768-05:002015-02-15T19:16:46.768-05:00Thanks very much, Jillian! I stayed home!Monicahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12224346283881001640noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777082361967445123.post-41744521571930006842015-02-15T18:24:00.225-05:002015-02-15T18:24:00.225-05:00Full marks for perseverance! The red is a great touch and I think the border really works - picks up and unifies the colours in the blocks.

I can barely image such cold. Our weekend was 41C and 39C!
