It would be a perfect first quilt too. I only have a small sewing area now but when I quilted my xmas quilt I set it up on the big kitchen table for a couple of days while I worked on it. The table took most of the weight of the quilt and made it much easier to sew.Katherinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18203034266623357526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777082361967445123.post-48323597234774635942012-12-29T16:41:19.066-05:002012-12-29T16:41:19.066-05:00Yes, it is quite a hassle, isn't it? I gave up on the safety pin method the second time I did it. I use basting spray now. I can only machine quilt up to a twin sized quilt and this method has worked great for me and saves my poor fingers. If you have asthma I have been told basting spray is not a good idea, though.Mary Ellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04066177625064170284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-777082361967445123.post-8447689260797879212012-12-29T12:05:30.909-05:002012-12-29T12:05:30.909-05:00Thanks, Mary Ellen.
