Moving right along, the main section of my two block improv challenge quilt is now together:
I had all the inverse nine patch blocks, with five green squares, left over. I did consider making the quilt reversible and putting them on the back. But I don't really have enough fabric for that. So, I just sewed them together:
I think it's going well!
What beautiful colors. Love the way you've laid this out. And you still have the other half of the nine-patches.
ReplyDeleteWow! That secondary block is the PERFECT companion to the strippy nine patch. The leftovers will be a terrific start to your pieced back. . .maybe??
ReplyDeleteThanks Terry! No, probably not on the back. I have a plan, we'll see if it works!
Deletethese blocks work so well together and good to see you have made use of the extra blocks too
ReplyDeleteI'm loving your improv stuff at the moment:) loving it all!
ReplyDeleteThanks very much! It sure is fun to do. :D
DeleteOh Yes!! This is stunning, love the two blocks, love the colours!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, it's going well. I like both these; the chunky crosses look great with the skinny strip blocks but equally effective on their own. The colours are spot on too.
ReplyDeleteFun! And you've successfully used two blocks. I like them in solids on the different gray backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteOoh, ooh. Loving this. The gray looks super with all the greens. Not something I would have thought would work.
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying this quilt so much! The colors are gorgeous together. So sharp and yet, fun looking!
ReplyDeletedelightfully interesting
ReplyDeleteWhat fun. It puts me in mind of a children's game - with cards that you connect to journey.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jillian! It does look a little like roads on a map!
DeleteStunning! I love the greens against the greys and I think your two blocks look great together.
ReplyDeleteVery fun design. Love the colours,
