Two Block Construction

Moving right along, the main section of my two block improv challenge quilt is now together:

I had all the inverse nine patch blocks, with five green squares, left over. I did consider making the quilt reversible and putting them on the back. But I don't really have enough fabric for that. So, I just sewed them together:

I think it's going well!

  1. What beautiful colors. Love the way you've laid this out. And you still have the other half of the nine-patches.

  2. Wow! That secondary block is the PERFECT companion to the strippy nine patch. The leftovers will be a terrific start to your pieced back. . .maybe??

    1. Thanks Terry! No, probably not on the back. I have a plan, we'll see if it works!

  6. Oh yes, it's going well. I like both these; the chunky crosses look great with the skinny strip blocks but equally effective on their own. The colours are spot on too.

  7. Fun! And you've successfully used two blocks. I like them in solids on the different gray backgrounds.

  8. Ooh, ooh. Loving this. The gray looks super with all the greens. Not something I would have thought would work.

I'm told Blogger has been bouncing some comments, so if it happens to you I'm sorry! But the settings look right so I can't explain it. In any case, thanks for reading!
